The accumulation formula resets every calendar year, but the underlying phenomenon might have a different seasonal cycle. If we reset based on the wrong period, we could be creating artificial discontinuities at year-boundaries. Should we align the accumulation window to the actual business cycle?
The annotation font is hard to read.
